Libratone Live hits Germany

2019-05-10

We partnered with popular German electronics retailer GRAVIS to bring our Free the Sound sessions to Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.

Having successfully launched Libratone Live Sessions in our home town of Copenhagen we decided to take the show on the road.

And where else to go next, than back to the country that the majority of our Free the Sound artists call home – Germany. Our chosen artists for our mini-tour, Adam Wendler, Novine and the duo Nosoyo, are all currently living in Berlin, so their home town was the perfect starting point. We then headed on to the German cities of Hamburg and Cologne for more gigs.

To get the party started in Berlin, we also called upon three of the talented dancers who appear in our ZIPP 2 brand campaign - Santana, Claire and Bobby. They entertained the crowds outside the GRAVIS store, before our first musical act of the evening, with their impressive street dance style.

We partnered with the retailer GRAVIS, who hosted the shows in their stores, ensuring we kept the same relaxed, informal style to our Libratone Live Sessions we have enjoyed in our Copenhagen store.

Libratone and GRAVIS have been retail partners in Germany since 2011. In their stores and online, GRAVIS has championed our current bundle offer for our ZIPP 2 smart speakers, alongside other products such as our Bluetooth earphones TRACK+, so was the perfect partner for us in to ensure our Libratone Live Sessions in Germany, were a success.

We chose Adam, Novine and Nosoyo for the tour to provide the perfect mix of sounds that complemented each other and appealed to all tastes.

The artists

  • Nosoyo: The electro-pop duo have also lived in Istanbul, Holland and Argentina and thanks to these diverse influences, they have a unique sound. They love to experiment with different techniques, although also demonstrate the power of going ‘back to basics’ with vocals, drums and guitar.

Nosoyo

  • Novine: Is very much inspired by her Jamaican roots and her father's extensive record collection. The 24-year-old sings catchy, chilled melodies in a smooth fusion of RnB, neo-soul and pop.

Novine

  • Adam Wendler: With his acoustic guitar and folk-pop sound, the Canadian singer is inspired by his love of travelling, life experiences and current affairs. “I love the sensation of playing to a room full of people who are having a good time.”
